This type of work must necessarily be carried out by highly trained readers with good diction. The reader assigned to record a text first examines it carefully, identifying its structure and the type of language used; they also remove, add, or adapt references to charts and images in order to make the text usable for the end user.[1]
Once the preliminary operations have been completed, the reader records the text as a digital MP3 track. Each track includes, in addition to the text itself, information relating to the title and the recorded pages, in order to make it easier for blind users to search for specific paragraphs.[2][3]
